Joseph Part 2: Sentenced to Success

I can’t just leave the heroic character Joseph living with a big fat No. For we know that all the promise of God are yeah and Amen in Him.

So what did Joseph do in his ‘No’ Seasons?

  • He didn’t give in to sexual temptation
  • He refused to give up on his integrity and doing the best job possible
  • He carried the presence of God
  • He possesses the Spirit of God
  • He demonstrated the favor of God
  • He never stopped trusting in God
  • He didn’t stop using his gift (dream interpretation) even when others didn’t value it or respect it
  • He never gave up on his dream
  • He was always looking to see how God would vindicate him
  • He didn’t allow his brothers failure to defeat him and did so by forgiving them
  • He was willing to defer to Pharaoh when he had the chance to grandstand
What allowed Joseph to prevail was his faith in the Lord: he understood that he was living under a sentence from God, a sentence of success.
