Yesterday, January 6's reading in proverbs takes time to point us down... to consider the ant. In John Maxwell's Leadership Bible, he points us toward this passage in Proverbs 6:6-8 to make four points about what this insect can teach all of us, using the acronym ANTS:
A - Attitude of Initiative: Ants don't need a commander or boss to tell them to get started.
N - Nature of Integrity: Ants work faithfully and need no outside accountability to keep them doing right.
T - Thirst for Industry: Ants work hard and will replace their anthill when it gets ruined.
S - Source of Insight: Ants store provision in the summer.
If we consider and learn from the ways of the ant, we TOO can grow wise.*
