I was really rocked when I was looking at an interview with Brit Hume who is leaving his Fox News anchor chair next Tuesday. He stated that he was leaving his position to pursue the three 'G's' - God, Grandkids and Golf.
I looked at a Reuters interview with Hume and he stated: "Hume: I certainly want to pursue my faith more ardently than I have done. I'm not claiming it's impossible to do when you work in this business. I was kind of a nominal Christian for the longest time. When my son died (by suicide in 1998), I came to Christ in a way that was very meaningful to me. If a person is a Christian and tries to face up to the implications of what you say you believe, it's a pretty big thing. If you do it part time, you're not really living it."
'Magine that. Taking time for God. How ... wonderful.
Some people lead by where they go, some lead by what they say, some lead by what they do, and others who are truly gifted, also lead by what they choose not to do. Let's see whether Brit Hume gains more influence by his choice of actions.
