Sometimes when I am 'cruising along' in life and the 'road is smooth' and I don't hit too many speed bumps, I am tempted to attribute this to my 'Faith @ Work.' And then when I hit traffic, or a rough patch in the road, I quickly consider whether I have been as diligent in my faith.

I even try to solve some of my own problems myself. And that is when I get into what feels like spiritual quicksand. I get stuck. And the more that I struggle to extricate myself from the situation, the deeper I get drawn down.

I don't know whether this is a faulty left brain function, or faulty right brain function, or just a no brain function: the outcome is still the same - no outcome.

I think God allows these events to come into our lives as part of the passage of transformation.

In work, when we run into a technical problem, we can call the Help Desk. Well prayer, prayer that is intentional and transformational, is like calling the Spiritual Help Desk. Usually the guys and gals at the Help Desk are pretty familiar with dealing with my problems and can get me out of my fix pretty fast.
