In the book, “Finding God in Unexpected Places,” Philip Yancey writes about a South African woman named Joanna who began a prison ministry which radically transformed one of South Africa's most violent prisons. Before her arrival, there were 279 incidents of violence for the prior year; a year after she started with Bible studies in the prison, there were 2 incidents. When you asked her how she did it, she told Yancey: "Well, of course, Philip, God was already present in the prison. I just had to make Him visible."

Prayer is often about seeking God to make visible what is normally not visible.
• Silence of the heart: emotions
• Silence of the mind: concerns
• Silence of the spirit: your internal spiritual hard drive AKA automatic pilot

How to begin: Reading God's Word
"I am the LORD, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations, Isaiah 42:6. I call this, Increasing your Whatage. Whatage is the difference, the effectiveness and peace that passes understanding that makes people ask, What is it about us? The higher the Light, the more people will ask, “What do you have that makes you so…” That’s whatage. I think as Christians we have gotten used to providing formulas instead of whatage.

Prayer is often about learning to ask the right questions: Jesus answered and said unto her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that saying to thee, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. [John 4:10] Listen for the Holy Spirit cues.

Cultivating a God-Inside-of-Me Awareness. Wisdom is one of the by-products of silence - asking-listening: Jam 1:5-6, 17 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all [men] liberally, and will not reprimand; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed… (for) Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Get a new batch of Wisdom every morning. Prayer for Wisdom: Lord, help me to see what I need to see, see through what is unimportant, and see beyond to where your are calling me. Yesterday’s wisdom won’t do… you need some WOW: the Wisdom on the Wind.

Your Personal PIN # Grace: "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6 [Reminder that grace is the unmerited favor of God.] The three dimensions of grace: unmerited, undeserved and unfathomable. Grace is not only favor, but it is God’s force in these last days. What activates grace? The Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the spoken Word of God.

Activate Your Card by Faith: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Eph 2:6
